Junghwa Hong

CB1 Gallery in Los Angeles will be opening a new exhibition of works by artist Junghwa Hong. The show, entitled Veiled, focuses on patriarchal behavior and traditions which repress female identity. Some paintings in Veiled utilize the visual imagery of the burqa as a symbol for restricted female freedom.
