Night Gallery has opened a new exhibition by Kandis Williams entitled Eurydice that is now on view at Constance in New York. Eurydice draws from multiple artistic practices including videography, collage, sculpture, and floral arrangement. Williams’ work investigates the relationship between “black identity” and “mainstream culture” through the lens of Western visual imagery. The greek myth of Eurydice is a vehicle for Williams’ artistic inquiry into this subject.
The exhibition will be open until May 20th, 2018.
