Menswear Fall 2011: Lanvin
Let’s talk about Lanvin – nowadays, who isn’t? The collection was brilliant. The suits were smart without being pretentious. And that classic Lanvin finishing showed in the detailing of the garments. Looks were not over-embellished which made the statement looks really standout. The label stayed with traditional coloring that only added to the overall mixture of uptown and downtown perspectives. The Parisian house also played with hatting this season to add to the whole “grown up” idea of the collection. Everything seemed mature enough to cater to an older audience which distinguishes this line from others. This season’s Lanvin line of menswear still embraces the Parisian edgy-chic element that the house has been known for while still paying attention to the classic man.
