Ochi Gallery presents, Rakeem Cunningham’s #00 Niggas in Avalon, the first of an ongoing series showcasing multimedia exhibitions. It will be on display in Ochi Gallery’s online viewing room until November 1st. Cunningham’s work explores Black queer identity through mediums such as photography, collage, and video; his work utilizes pop culture and personal images to analyze the queer experience, mental health, and the self-acceptance journey. His work offers essential social commentary on how to envision a liberated society for Black and queer individuals.
