John Galliano worked harder on this collection than he’d ever worked according to style.com – and it wasn’t in vain. The designer paid tribute to René Gruau, Christian Dior’s in house illustrator from the 40s and 50s and it showed. Everything was visually artistic from textile selection to cuts and execution. Galliano mimicked pin and watercolor strokes with certain garments, while others took a more traditional spin. The result is something truly couture.
