Howl! Happening: an Arturo Vega Project in New York will be hosting an event this Sunday to celebrate the opening of an exhibition called Zeitgeist: The Art Scene of Teenage Basquiat. The event is curated by Howl! Happening, Sara Driver, Carlo McCormick, and Mary-Ann Monforton in part as a celebration for the release of the film, BOOM FOR REAL The Late Teenage Years of Jean-Michel Basquiat. The exhibition celebrates the early work of Basquiat and his peers before the rise of 80’s art.
The opening event will take place May 13th from 6 to 9pm.
