Kim D bottleHi, my name is Yannize, and I am a KK Addict.

I have lost 20 pounds on the “Fit Into Your Jeans By Friday” and Quick Trim diet, have all of season three of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” saved on my DVR, and am currently wearing the Kim Kardashian fragrance as I write this.

Actually, KK is my newest play cousin.

Now the KK Fever continues on its epidemic pace with the launch of the Kim Kardashian Twitter iPhone App. Here, followers can tweet KK any questions about fashion, beauty, lifestyle, relationships, and health. Every Tuesday and Friday, Kim will be answering questions exclusively for her App community, and selected questions and answers will be tweeted to her 3 million-plus followers.

World domination, one tweet at a time!
Now, if only she could find a way to mass produce Reggie…

Be sure to also follow AMMO on Twitter, @AMMOMAG

Romi Hi-Res

I have birthed no babies, but I know that raising children is NOT for the weak at heart or mind. And, even for the strongest of mothers, there are days where you simply CANNOT deal, but yet feel that no one could possibly understand.

Until now.

Move over diamonds, because truuconfessions.com is a girl’s best friend! A forum where women can annoymously vent to each other about the trials and tribulations of, well, being a woman, Truuconfessions.com serves as the anonymous best friend who always gives a you great advice and an even greater hug.

Says creator Romi Lassally,  “Our mission is to be your anonymous best friend on those days when you’re going to crack, when you need a laugh, when you’re bursting at the seams with a juicy secret, or when the thing you need to say is unspeakable to even your nearest and dearest.”

And women are airing it out! From clandestine sex sessions, to kid’s all-night vomit sessions, dating disasters, and everything in between, the fairer sex is really letting it all air out.

…Including your momma…

Solange

Singer. Mother. DJ. Entrepeneur. All these adjectives describe Solange perfectly, and now she can add spokesperson to the list!

Touted as a global tastemaker, Solange Knowles joins fellow beauties Zooey Deschanel and Alejandra Ramos Munoz
as the newest faces of RIMMEL, joining the company of Kate Moss and Coco Rocha.

Her beauty, risktaking spirit, and individualistic style will definitely add to the global appeal of the brand, as well as  invite more women of color to use the products.

Yet another reason why she’s more than just Beyonce’s sister…

The RIMMEL London line is available at mass retailers nationwide.

Beauty Watch: Effortlessly Chic at BCBG

One thing I will always love about BCBG, as soon as you slip on something from this designer, you are instantly pulled together. The asymmetical aesthetic for Fall 2010 needed a hairstyle that would seamlessly finish the look. John Frieda International Creative Consultant Harry Josh created the bun that is super easy to replicate:

  • Apply John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease Take Charge Mousse to dry hair and blow dry using your fingers to create texture.
  • Pull hair back in a low ponytail and apply Root Awakening Strength Restoring Smoothing Lotion to ends. Wrap hair around to create a twisted bun, leaving the ends out to create a fringe. Or, you can tuck the ends in and have a look just as polished.

John Frieda products are available at mass retailers nationwide.

Beauty Watch: Susan Cianciolo + Christopher Drummond

Designer Susan Cianciolo collaborated with Make-up pioneer Christopher Drummond during FW2010 fashion week and created a dramatic yet functional look that even you can achieve.

According to Christopher, “When Susan and I were talking about the look, it was very organic, literally. Her clothes are organic, and my makeup is organic-based. We took her idea of the vibrant colors that are displayed under the sea and translated them onto the face. The result was lines and stripes of blended bright colors that melted together.”

Here are the steps Christopher used to create the look:

  • Concealer was applied to the face with Christopher Drummond Beauty (CDB) Velduo Velvet Foundation over it. Christopher covered the eyebrows with concealer as a base for the eye color
  • Next, Christopher dipped his angled eye shadow brush into a color that would work for the model. He drew a thick, angled line from above the brow to the lashes, in one swipe. He repeated this until he had the desired color saturation. He used various colors that he thought would be interesting and used three to five different color strips on each eye
  • On the bottom lashline, Christopher used one color from the outer corner to the middle, and another from the inner corner of the eye to the middle, and then blended the two together so there were two liner colors on the bottom
  • Instead of using mascara, Christopher allowed the eyeshadow color to fall on the lashes to create a beautiful, dramatic, multicolored eyelash.
  • Finally, Christopher painted the lips with concealer to finish the look.

And here are Christopher’s tips for translating the look from the runway to the street:

  • Pick three subtle colors that you like, and place the CDB natural cocealer as a primer all over the eyelid
  • Separate the eyelid in three even sections with a liner brush and a small amount of shadow (kind of like a stencil)
  • Next, take a medium amount of the shadow, and press it into one section. Blend it in well.
  • Do the same with the other two sections

Sham, Dee, & Ricky

IMG_9008.JPG

With as many collabo’s in the works as there are 6” heels at Fashion Week, it’s hard to pinpoint the best of the best.  Designers Dee & Ricky and blogger superstar Sham are the next big thing when it comes to teamwork.  The three worked together on a view gifts for the Lateboots.com brand and have been fast friends ever since.  Vital personalities in the cool kid scene, Dee, Ricky & Sham are on our radar and after a two hour wait and an awkward 30 minute shoot, we learned just what makes them so sought after.

1. What’s your AMMO? (What’s inspires you?)

CAFFEINE !

2.    Did you think as a child that you’d be a fashion icon just by using something as simple as a Lego?

Nope never thought about that, [I] thought I would be a kid forever; never thought I’d grow up.  Should have moved to Never, Neverland.

3.    If you weren’t designing, what would you be doing?

I’d probably be apart of the GOP or Maybe Mayor of NYC.

4.    What are you plans for the Dee&Ricky brand in 2010?

Aiming to open up the official Dee&Ricky Restaurant, dropping that CASIO watch, [and] our official clothing line release this fall.
