TOMAAS

Born in Hamburg, Germany TOMAAS attended several European Universities with focus on Communications and Political science and eventually finished with a Master’s in Public Relations. Soon after he moved to NY to fulfill his dream of living there. Working in the corporate world for years it was his extensive traveling around the globe that inspired him to pick up his childhood passion of photography. During an extensive trip to Vietnam where he captured the land and people he found his true calling. He decided to attend the International Center for Photography in NYC and make a transition to fashion photography. Since then TOMAAS has rapidly gained international recognition and clientele. His trademark style is edgy, vibrant and dramatic yet subtle. He is represented by Robert Bacall Representatives in NYC and works on high fashion editorials, beauty and advertising campaigns. At the same time he realized to exhibited his work. When Tomaas is not shooting he is very much involved with managing a volunteer program that prepares and delivers meals for people with HIV and other serious illness for which he received the Presidential Service Award in 2009.
