The dust has settled and the rain has subsided as another awesome Miami Art Week has come and gone. Last week we headed down to Miami for Art Basel Miami Beach 2015 and the first event on our agenda was The Dean Collection + BACARDÍ No Commission Art Fair presented by Swizz Beatz.
The fair featured 30+ artists including Lyle Owerko, Gregory Siff, Jaybo Monk, and Gabriel Dawe. Among the amazing work our favorite piece was from New York artist Mickalene Thomas (pictured) which reminded us of home. The purpose of The Dean Collection “No Commission” was to provide an exhibition space free to the artist of which the artist receives 100% of the sale of their work.
On Friday evening we gathered ourselves for the Untameable House Party to turn up with DJ Esco, Pusha T, and A-Trak. Little did we know that we’d be blown away by a surprise visit from The Dream and Fabolous singing hits like “Rockin’ That Shit” and “Lituation” (which literally set the place aflame).
It’s safe to say BACARDÍ and The Dean Collection owed the entire week.
